Seven days from today (May 14, 2011), the world will end on May 21, 2011 at 6 P.M, according to Harold Camping an 89 yr old preacher from Oakland, California. Mr. Camping predicts with certitude that “2% of the world’s population will be “raptured” to heaven” while the rest of us will experience horrific suffering and death.
Mr. Camping preaches to his followers over his 60 or so Family Radio Network stations. The radio stations are financed by the generous donations from his sheeple. The assets of Camping and his religious broadcasting Radio Network total $120m.
With a fleet of vans touring every USA state, including 2000 Billboards all proclaiming “Judgment Day Is Near” and “Blow the trumpet, warn the people”, Mr. Doomsday Camping is predicting “eternal death” for those who refuse to believe “in” Christ and his return to the earth. Apparently this doomsday “prophet” has predicted the same end-time scenario on Sept. 06, 1994! Many of his followers, at that time, gathered in an auditorium and waited for Christ’s return. OOOPS, it seems the Messiah didn’t return. And, he is NOT going to return on May 21, 2011!
What is really mind boggling is the fact that scores of Mr. Doomsday Camping’s followers have “quit their jobs to drive around America in Family Radio vehicles warning of the impending apocalypse”.
Mr. E. Carlson, a Christian pastor wonders how millions of Christians can adhere to a new invented doctrine (the rapture) “that was unheard of 200 yrs ago” __a teaching that has been proven wrong by false prophets such as Hal Lindsay, Pat Zio-Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell.
If Christians were “true” followers of Christ, they wouldn’t blindly fall for these end time dates set by blind pastors. It confirms the Messiah’s description of “the blind leading the blind”__both will fall into a deep ditch!
How can these brain-dead Christians refute and change the warning Christ gave his followers about setting dates for his return and the “end of the age”?
You notice Christ didn’t know the day or the hour when these would take place __only the Father knew. The angels in heaven didn’t know.
However, there are fallen angels who have the power to deceive. And, it’s my opinion, these date-setting-pastors are being bamboozled by those agents of “the deceiver of the whole world” __Satan (Rev.12:9)!
Mr. Doomsday Camping says his 1994 prediction was wrong before because “he had not researched very carefully…[but because of the] enormous amount of additional study, God has given us outstanding proofs that it really is going to happen.”
I wonder what this deceived and lying prophet will tell his followers who have gathered together waiting to be “raptured” when the clock tolls 7pm instead of 6pm on May 21, 2011? Perhaps they will turn on him and tear him from limb to limb.
No, they certainly won’t do that because the satanic pastor will convince them that he made a small mathematical error in his dingbat calculations. And, his followers will take it , hook, line and sinker, and continue to blindly follow the blind pastor to their eternal death. So be it!
