If one were in a conversation with any Catholic or traditional Christian and you were to ask them if they can recite the 10 commandments – in nearly all cases – they will not be able to do so. They may get 4 or 5, but that’s it!
And, no wonder, Satan has bamboozled Catholics and traditional Christians to believe the Messiah (Christ) abolished the commandments of the Creator-God, the great I AM.
They reject the words of Christ, who stated: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
As you well know, the earth and heaven still exist. Thus, the Creator’s 10 commandments (law) will continue forever – “they are the truth, righteous and very faithful”. The true followers of Messiah do not disdain or hate them, but obey and “love” them. (Psalm 119)
Here’s two of the ten which are loathed by both Satan and those he has tricked and snared. They are mainly about idolatry – the worship and celebration of man and his traditions/customs.
The Creator-God spoke and wrote them with his finger (Ex.31: 18) on stone tablets.
Exodus chpt. 20 verses 4 to 6 and verses 8 to 11
The second commandment: God spoke: “4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
The fourth commandment: God spoke: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day (7th day of the week), and hallowed it. (Genesis chpt. 2 verses 2-3)
The law does not save anyone – it’s one’s obedience to the commandments (law) that save you from eternal death and offers eternal life. So, you are free to choose – eternal life or eternal death. Choose eternal life, in Messiah‘s name! May it be so!
