Did you know that the Creator-God, the great I AM, is a “jealous God”?
Here’s the 2nd commandment of the 10 as recorded in the bible. This law not only reveals that the great I AM, the Creator, is jealous, but he also declares how you can love him without physically seeing him.
Exodus: Chpt. 20 verses 3 to 6
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
My Comments – Meaning of “God Is Jealous”
Some religious institutions, especially the Roman Catholic organization omit verses 4 to 6. Why would they do such a thing? They practice idolatry through their prayers and worship of Mary and the dead, their so-called saints – a blatant transgression of the above 2nd commandment.
Humans can be jealous by feeling or showing envy of someone and/or of their achievements and advantages. Our Father is not jealous in that sense. He has no equal and he owns all. (Ps.50: 11 -12)
Our Father is jealous, meaning that he is fiercely protective, mindful and vigilant of his possessions. He created us, gave us life and our Father is good to all – to the just and unjust. He is faithful and demands our faithfulness and exclusive worship.
If you are wise you will not commit idolatry. Buddha, Virgin Mary, Oprah, positive thinkers, self-help gurus, pastors, priests, etc. are not to be worshipped/followed – they cannot save you from eternal death, nor point and direct you to the way of eternal life.
Follow the true Torah-Keeping Messiah, the first born from the dead, the son of the true living Creator-God, the great I AM.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (deceived/mislead), that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians Chpt 2 verses 11 -12)
Peace and blessings to all who love the truth and hate the lies and deceptions.
