In Messiah’s name: for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
Who are the “ungodly’ and the godly?
Let me first define the biblical meaning of sin. It is the transgression of the law. (1 Jn.3: 4)
Thus, an ungodly person is one who rejects the laws, commandments, statutes and judgments of the Creator-God, the great I AM. By doing so, that person denies the Messiah, the son of the great I AM, (1Jn.2: 22 -23; Rev.14: 12) who paid our death penalty for the transgressing of same. The ungodly are like “chaff” – dry and worthless. They will suffer eternal death.
A godly person, on the other hand, “delights in the law of the Creator” and has repented and has been baptized to demonstrate that he/she will observe and do Gods’ Laws commandments, statues and judgments as did Messiah. They are the true followers of Messiah. They will inherit the Kingdom of God and eternal life.
Psalm 1: 1 – 6 King James Version (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, (the scorners, wicked, sinful) nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff (grain husks, dry and worthless) which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous (obey the laws of the Creator).
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Choose therefore godliness! Peace and blessings to all who love the truth and hate the lies and deceptions.
