Sabbath Day (Ex. 20: 8 – 11) By r. a. Saturday, Jan.12, 2019
In Messiah’s name: God’s word is the truth (Jn.17: 17 & Ps.119: 142). Sin is the transgression of the law. (1Jn.3: 4)
We are living in the end times, an age when the lie is the truth and the truth is a lie. Please hear the warning Messiah gave to his disciples regarding these last days. (Matt.24: 4 -5)
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them (his disciples), Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Sadly, many today and in the past have been lied to and deceived by truth benders and lie vendors.
For instance, some time ago, I was having a conversation with a friend whose brother was a pastor of a large and well-known denominational Christian church. During our conversation, the question of God’s laws came up and he stated that Messiah abolished the law through his sacrifice and our faith in him.
I responded by quoting (not verbatim), what Messiah essentially declared in the New Testament. Here’s the bible texts that I brought to his attention.
Messiah is speaking: 17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matt 5: 17 – 18)
Anyone who reads the above texts should come to the conclusion that Messiah did not abolish or replace God’s laws, especially if that person reads the following 19th verse.
Here’s verse 19: “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Bible verses must be read in context – what came before and what came after the main verse that was quoted. Many religious leaders avoid doing this in order to protect their existing erroneous doctrinal systems from being exposed as lies and deceit.
A good example is found in Galatians 2: 16 where Paul seems to state that the law is done away with. However, the context is about circumcision and it is that “work of the law” which is “done away with”. In addition, Paul is NOT the Messiah and therefore, he would have no authority to do away with our Father’s commandments, statutes and judgments.
Here’s how the truth bending and lie vending is carried out in Matt 5: 17 – 19
Notice in the above verses 17, 18 the terms “fulfill” and “fulfilled” – these terms mean to satisfy what is desired, demanded or expected of someone – it’s an obligation. Messiah kept and obeyed his father’s commandments. It was demanded and expected of him. Likewise, Messiah’s true followers are also commanded, expected and obliged to do so.
The truth benders and lie vendors claim that Messiah fulfilled the law for us and there is no need to keep the laws. They say Messiah is our “righteousness” as long as we accept his sacrifice and have faith in him. This is a lie as proved in verse 19 above. We are to keep the Creator-God’s commandments and teach others to do so! We are to fulfill them -DO them!
In short, if you believe the law is abolished and your righteousness is based on a “righteousness” invented by man, then you’ve been hoodwinked and duped by a truth bender and lie vendor. Attending church services or mass (pic below) on a Sunday ain’t gonna save you from a possible eternal death, nor is it pleasing to the Father or his son. Therefore, seek and DO the “Truth” and gain the promise of eternal life.
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Messiah name.
Peace, blessings and protection to all who love the truth and hate the lies and deceptions.
